This Laser Group is a 1-month membership that meets via conference call on Mondays at 8:00pm CST. New groups launch every January, March, May, July, September, and November. Upon joining the group, Coach Katie will contact you with all the pertinent information to connect with the group.
The phrase, "Everybody has at least one book in them (paraphrase mine)" may be true, but to find out if the 'you' should write the 'book,' is something to ponder. How does one know that a writer lives within?
Each quarter, I host an entry-level writer's group I have affectionately dubbed, "The Writer's Cramp." In this four-week group, we will work as a team to start the process of uncovering any hidden potential that might be lying dormant, just screaming to get out.
Through timeline writing, prompt writing, and even a little 'public' speaking, if there is a hidden writer in you, that creativity will begin to surface. By the end of the fourth week, you will have some idea if being a writer is what you're called to do. If you already know that being a writer is what you're about, then this writer's group will help propel the creativity within.
Join me as we embark on a journey of word-smithing, creative imagining and foundation laying for the potential writer in you.
Disclaimer: This group is not about how to get published, write copy, or professional editing/formatting.
"I don't think I would have been as willing to take [a writer's course] if it had been an in person class. So for me, it was the perfect way to get through my writer's cramp issues and accept what was in me. So thank you for being willing to offer up something different...
I have about 2 years of sporadic [blog] entries, in varying degrees of completion; after this I have a much clearer view of what to do with them and which to work on completing first. I'd like to have a short devotional, maybe 10 days, ready for a trial run of peers by fall.
Thank you again for this opportunity! It was a really awesome experience... It's a needed outlet for many and having access to it in this way, even though it's "unconventional" is just another of God's ways for uniting His children to better spread His message. It's a really good thing, keep going with it!"
"You are and have been so instrumental in giving me the "writing flow" back again. It kind of surges in me and takes over. I realize now as I scan through some of the chapters I have dived into have come with a life of their own. All thanks to your heeding His voice and His steps. Thank you for this. Each week my writing instinct burned hotter and hotter. Gentle, yet direct, future writers will revel in [your] methodology and insight." --Wendy, TX
