Parents are the ultimate influencers, not just in the lives of their child(ren) but on the future of our societies. Sadly, today there is an incredible shortage of awareness of and intention for an impact that will extend for generations. Parents are in a powerful position to 'architect' the minds of their child(ren). Whether realized or not, a child's mind is shaped from the get-go by the impressions, perspectives, and meanings a parent ascribes to the life happening around and to their child. When this becomes a conscious and intentional undertaking, parents influence confidence over powerlessness, critical thinking over mindlessness, courage over spinelessness, contentment over entitlement, and many other attributes of strength. Such attributes equip them to walk through life full of peace and hope, shaping their world and relationships for good.

In this training, we will unpack the role of parent as a coach, acquire basic coaching skills, understand brain science and how interactions with our child(ren) have a lasting impact on their emotions, behaviors, and decisions, and apply these skills and understanding to practical situations. We may recognize them by the titles they have or the positions they hold, but numerous leaders are hidden in the background, quietly and steadily influencing the organizations they are in behind the scenes. 'Leader' is not a title or position. A leader is an effective influencer, regardless of what role they find themselves in. In reality, everyone has influence on someone. Conscious Leadership: Train Your Brain to be S-M-A-R-T

Conscious Leadership

Consciousness is intentionality that requires awareness; moving the things we are blind to in our thinking and reactions into our line of sight so that we can become intentional. The S-M-A-R-T Brain we will develop throughout this training has nothing to do with grades, test scores, or IQs. This training uniquely defines a S-M-A-R-T brain as one that is Strategic, Mature, Agile, Reflective, and Teachable.
 
Strategic means that it is able to engage thinking critically. It has the ability to see the multiplicity of circumstances, events - life itself - and can process through those multiplicities and forecast possibilities to arrive at the one that is most beneficial.
 
Mature is referring to the actual development of the brain, as well as the neuroplasticity that enables it to grow and change. We will discover that once the brain reaches its fully-developed state, in order to 'mature,' there can be many things that have to be reprogrammed for it to function optimally.
 
Agile denotes flexibility. This is about the brain's ability to be fluid in the moment in a responsive, as opposed to a reactive, way.
 
Reflective in terms of the brain is referring to that unique, and high, ability we have as human beings to think about what we are thinking about. We will explore and practice this meta-thinking capacity. Because of this ability, I say, "You can become smarter than your brain." By the end of this training you will understand that more fully.
 
Teachable means that your brain has an 'open' posture to take in and assimilate new information against what it already knew or understood, evaluate the usefulness of that information, and discard what is not relevant - even if it is the old information that you have held to. The brain can learn, unlearn, and relearn.
 
In this training we will dive deeply into brain science in order to minimize blind spots, increase mental mastery by understanding mindset, recognizing personal brain activity, and overcoming the 'games' the brain plays. Training includes a Mindset Audit.

•      EQ Training for Coaches is a 24-hour Practicum architected for practical experience and application, setting it apart from an “attend-and-put-on-a-shelf” workshop, “run-of-the-mill” classroom training, or “stagnant” conferences.

•      This layer-by-layer approach accelerates learning with easily digestible “learn-and-use” bites, and not simply the dissemination of information and/or theory.

Create A Coaching Culture: In-House Coach Training

"Create A Coaching Culture" is designed to equip Human Resources professionals within an organization as internal coaches for executives, leaders, and high-potential talent. How would having an in-house coaching competency impact the bottom line of your organization? Look at some statistics. When training is paired with coaching, it increases results by 88% - 400% (International Personnel Management Association, 2001). In a study by Manchester Consulting in 2002, year-long Executive Business Coaching had a 5.7 times Return on Investment.
